The Easybeats were an Australian rock and roll band, formed in Sydney in late 1964, relocated to London, England, in late 1966. They disbanded at the end of 1969. In 1986 they reunited for a national reunion tour. They are widely regarded as the greatest Australian pop band of the 1960s and one of the most influential bands of the era. Their best-known song is "Friday on My Mind", which was a worldwide hit in 1966 and has been covered by many artists. Studio albums
The Easybeats released six studio albums between 1965 and 1970. Their first three albums were recorded in Australia and released by Parlophone Records. Their fourth album, Good Friday, was their first international release and was recorded in London with producer Shel Talmy. Their fifth album, Vigil, was also recorded in London with producer Glyn Johns. Their sixth and final album, Friends, was recorded in Paris with producer Ray Singer.
